Solo
Quest v7.0 |
|
Solo Quest v7.0 is an individual
editor/librarian, that is, it is designed to support a single
instrument or MIDI device. Solo Quest includes the majority of
features found in Midi Quest including patch and bank editors,
groups, libraries, and dbases. It also includes powerful voice
creation and auditioning features.
It is not necessary to select a
particular instrument when you order Solo Quest as all of the
support files are included. At installation time you select the
instrument you would like Solo Quest to support and that
selection is "locked" in.
When you add a new instrument to your studio you can easily
upgrade Solo Quest to the full version of Midi Quest. |

Midi
Quest Jr. v7.0 |
|
Midi Quest Jr. v7.0
is Sound Quest's Universal Librarian with Bank Editor. While it
has many of the same capabilities as Midi Quest, there are
several notable differences.
Most importantly, as
Midi Quest Jr. is a Librarian, it is designed to store and
return an instrument's SysX data. Midi Quest Jr. includes bank
editors for many instruments but there are no parameter editors.
That is to say there are no Patch, Combi, Multi, Drum, or any
other type of individual parameter editor with which to view
individual settings. This is the domain of Midi Quest.
In addition, Midi
Quest Jr. is not capable of hierarchical Bank organization. When
a Combi is moved from one bank to another, it is not capable of
taking the associated Patches as well. This must be done
manually in Midi Quest Jr . |
